Senior Accounting Analyst

We are seeking a Senior accounting analyst in the Southern California division with a minimum of 5 years of accounting & financial analyst experience who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team. The Senior accounting analyst will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and interpreting accounting records and financial data. The ideal candidate for this job is a team player, resourceful, a good problem solver and organized. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.

Job Description:

  • Prepare period-end journal entries
  • Prepare monthly analysis/reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts
  • Monthly review/audit of Job Cost and Construction WIP
  • Prepare monthly financial reports
  • Process all draw requests
  • Assist and prepare audit requests for internal and external auditors
  • Assist the Director of Finance in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, financial plans, statistical reports, business plans and proformas
  • Prepare reports and projections based on financial data
  • Take charge of special projects and year-end preparations
  • Assist management with ad hoc reporting on request
  • Adhere to GAAP, SOX, and Company policies

Experience / Skills:

  • Knowledge of construction accounting and general accounting
  • Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data and perform quantitative analysis
  • Appropriate skills with MS Office, specifically the ability to structure and apply Microsoft Excel solutions that require pivot and look up features as well as charts and graphs
  • Advanced quantitative and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of various computer hardware and software programs
  • Creative problem-solving skills to research, analyze and solve
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and efficiently
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

  • Accounting Manager

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
