We are seeking an intelligent and ambitious individual interested in an exciting and challenging position as an Accounts Payable Specialist. This is a full-time position and will report to the AP Manager. The AP Specialist will provide a high level of support and customer service companywide and to our valued trades as well as performing the key responsibilities listed below.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Review all invoices for appropriate documentation/CA lien releases
  • Process and route invoices for approval in a timely manner
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries
  • Assisting with loan draw preparation
  • Obtain signatures for checks and distribute accordingly
  • Research and follow up with vendors and divisions on outstanding invoice approvals
  • Routing of documents electronically
  • Reconcile monthly statements
  • Run reports to prepare for the bi-monthly check runs
  • Process urgent check requests
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits and other projects
  • Ability to work overtime when needed, under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Other duties as assigned by AP Manager

Key Qualifications Include: 

  • 3+ years relevant Accounts Payable experience, preferably in the homebuilding industry
  • Applicant must possess good time management skills and be well organized to meet deadlines
  • 40+ wpm, 10,000+kph
  • Applicant must be detail-oriented and possess excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Timberline experience helpful, but not required
  • Quick learner, self-starter and be able to work independently as needed

Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a sedentary position. May be required to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office materials and supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard.

Travel requirements:
This position will not require travel.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
